This highly engaging session will provide participants with a clear understanding of what evaluation systems a school district should have in place to determine whether or not high-stakes life safety measures are reasonably reliable, court defensible and ethically responsible. This session is based on security assessments for more than 6,000 K-12 schools and post-incident assistance for several hundred school crisis events.

This session will cover:

  • Prevention and preparedness policies, strategies and practices.
  • New strategies for utilizing security cameras to reduce the risk of serious injuries and death.
  • Creating improved staff development and effective documentation of safety measures.

A popular and powerful keynote speaker, Michael has keynoted hundreds of major conferences. A graduate of the 181st session of the FBI National Academy, Michael also received a fellowship from Georgia State University to learn anti-terrorism and community policing practices in Israel.
