This highly engaging session will provide participants with a clear understanding of what evaluation systems a school district should have in place to determine whether or not high-stakes life safety measures are reasonably reliable, court defensible and ethically responsible. This session is based on security assessments for more than 6,000 K-12 schools and post-incident assistance for several hundred school crisis events.

Michael Dorn serves as the executive director of Safe Havens International, a non-profit school safety center. The author of 27 books on school safety, Michael's campus safety work has taken him to 11 countries over the past 34 years. A popular and powerful keynote speaker, Michael has keynoted hundreds of major conferences. A graduate of the 181st session of the FBI National Academy, Michael also received a fellowship from Georgia State University to learn anti-terrorism and community policing practices in Israel.
